When Paragon Events heard about Cvent’s newest mobile app,
OnArrival, we jumped at the opportunity to learn more about it. Integrating
this application into our meeting and conference check-in process could help us
with efficiency, eliminate guest lines, and reduce our carbon footprint. Reducing
the carbon footprint is always present, on the forefront for us, because we
have a leader in that area. Francesca Radabaugh received a degree in Geography
with a focus in Natural Hazards and Environmental Justice. With a strong passion for
the environment, she has implemented procedures at Paragon Events that brings
“green” awareness to its events and clientele choices.
OnArrival is a free downloadable app available on iPad and
iPhones. It appears that OnArrival can manage a general session and individual
meeting session check in, and features a scanning device that will scan an
attendee’s barcode for quick access to their records.
OnArrival appears to have many uses for meeting planners. It
manages attendee information like arrival status and balance due. This
application works both on and offline, and allows hosts to register attendees
using their name, company, conference number, or email address. Our planners
are hopeful that these features will make OnArrival a unique and helpful
application.
